Córdoba

We left Buenos Aires on a Friday night and took the overnight bus to Cordoba, Argentina's second largest city with over 2 million inhabitants, 200,000 of which are students. After we arrived at the bus station early in the morning, we wandered around with our heavy backpacks until we found a hostel with beds available. Our hostel actually ended up being the highlight of our one day in Cordoba. Cordoba was pretty with some nice colonial architecture, but there wasn't too much going on during the daytime on a Saturday (although with seven universities, the nightlife is pretty hopping). We met several other backpackers from around Argentina and many from Israel. One pair of Argentines had been in Cordoba for two weeks, making and selling artesanales (crafts) at a huge fair outside of the city that happens in conjunction with the Semana Santa (Holy Week).

Our hostel had lots of cool graffiti and art

"Hola!"

Our favorite part of the whole trip was probably this HUGE couch in the hostel. Two people can sleep here end to end, but I think it would probably fit about 8-10 people for a great movie night. Just had to share the greatness.
